God's Truth or Man's Truth...{an excerpt}

The difference between God’s truth and man’s truth is one of the greatest dividing lines in all of history. God’s truth is absolute, eternal, and unchanging, because it comes from the One who created all things and knows all things. It is not bound by culture, time, or human opinion. When God speaks, His words reveal reality as it truly is. His truth is light, showing us the path of life and exposing the shadows where falsehood hides. Man’s truth, on the other hand, is often temporary, shifting, and incomplete. It is shaped by human experience, culture, and perspective, which means it is limited and sometimes flawed. What one generation calls truth, another may discard as error. What one society calls wisdom, another calls foolishness. Man’s truth depends on perspective, but God’s truth stands as the foundation for all that is real.
This difference matters because it shows why people so often fall into confusion. Man’s truth is like a broken compass; it can point in different directions depending on who is holding it, leaving many lost in search of something steady. God’s truth is like the North Star—constant and unmovable—guiding us no matter where we stand. Human reasoning, though valuable, cannot see the whole picture, for our vision is narrow and clouded by pride, fear, and desire. God’s truth is complete, for He sees the beginning and the end, and nothing is hidden from Him. Man’s truth, even when it contains pieces of what is right, cannot reach the perfection of God’s truth without His guidance. This is why the Bible declares, “The word of the Lord endures forever,” while the words of man fade with time.
Another difference lies in purpose. God’s truth is given to set people free, to lead them into righteousness, and to draw them into fellowship with Him. Jesus said, “You shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.” Man’s truth, however, often serves human agendas. It is bent to justify actions, to defend pride, or to maintain control. History shows how human “truth” has been used to defend slavery, injustice, and even violence in the name of progress. But God’s truth never supports evil; it always calls for justice, mercy, and humility. God’s truth lifts humanity toward holiness, while man’s truth, when left alone, can push humanity into deeper sin and deception.
In everyday life, this contrast is clear. Man’s truth says happiness is found in wealth, pleasure, or recognition, but God’s truth says real joy comes from obedience, humility, and love. Man’s truth says power makes one great, but God’s truth says the greatest is the servant of all. Man’s truth says to follow your heart wherever it leads, but God’s truth warns that the human heart is deceitful and must be transformed by His Spirit. Where man’s truth seeks self, God’s truth seeks His glory and our good. In this way, man’s truth changes with trends, but God’s truth endures forever.
