The World is the Deceptive Distraction
The World is the Deceptive Distraction

Distractions and subtleties are one of the major tools that Satan uses to attempt to destroy all of us! Know that the life in this world is but amusement and diversion and adornment and boasting to one another and competition in the increase of wealth and children.  And what is the worldly life except the enjoyment of delusion. Distraction is a spirit. Distractions do not produce immediate deadly consequences. However, due to their subtlety, you will lose your focus on Christ and become ensnared. How do false teachers come to you? As friends, family, those sincere acquaintances. How quickly do you determine them to be false?  What do you use to determine the un-truths?  What measures do you take upon discovering falsehoods? God has given a divine defensive weapon…an invitation to come to Him to reason. Do not allow friendship to distract you from discussing for truth. Inquire of the Lord in regards to gaining wisdom on understanding a situation presented for consideration. Use your spiritual discernment to rationalize statements as you pursue truth.  Learn to listen and watch. Anything that turns our attention from God is a distraction. If you’re having an inner battle that will not let your mind be still, open your heart. God knows your heart. Distractions keep us blind to others and oblivious to the voice of God. Delve deep into your conscience and reason with the truths experienced to straigthen the path to right doing. Often times the devil’s schemes are subtle. Guard the truths, and the faith given to you through the Spirit. Be

aware of what we let into our lives, what we fill our minds with. Beware that no one distracts you or intimidates you in their attempt to lead you away from reasoning with Christ’s fullness by pretending to be full of wisdom when they’re filled with endless arguments of human logic. For they operate with humanistic and clouded judgments based on the mindset of this world system, and not the anointed truths of the Anointed One.  The race we’re in is a marathon. It’s a faith journey, so God can fulfill His call and purpose in our lives. We must really understand what it means to give faith our full attention. If there is a fraction of a moment where your faith questions, the enemy has you distracted. Test the mindset of any who present you with the word. Speak and declare every truth of God’s word over your life. He has more truth for you to come.

Don’t you find it strange that there’s often this inner conflict you’re having about something you’re aware of, but are afraid to confront? How did you get to the point of being so distracted from the Lord's instructions? What propagation is dividing God's people. If all have the same Spirit??? There is a kingdom culture, and that culture draws us together.  There is no division in the kingdom of God. Division clutters communication with the Father. We need

undivided hearts with pure motives pursuing His heart that we may know and walk in His ways. Faith in every word of God is our greatest asset. Where there is deceit, greed, division, control, manipulation, and distraction, there is no faith. Our school of thought must be kingdom-taught under the power of the Holy Spirit.

It is with much supplication that we should pray that no one plans on deception happening to them. Deception is something that people fall for. It is not something that you would allow to happen if you knew it was happening. Deception is a thing which we approach imperceptibly and are affected while even believing that we are not. To be deceived is to question a truth. Believing a lie ensnares you, but questioning a truth spoken by the Word is walking contrary to the will of God. This is why it is so important to see with our eyes and to hear with our ears. If we see clearly, we will not be distracted. If we hear the words of God, faith will grow in our hearts, and the fulfillment of God’s desires and purposes will be our commitment.

There are two natures available to man. Sinful nature or divine nature. Scripture teaches that if we are mature, we will know the difference between these two natures, flesh and spirit. Jesus really desires all to understand the things of God. So thankfully He has given us His Word, which is the sharpest spiritual weapon to the dividing of the soulish nature and the spirit of man. So, when we look to define and understand these two worlds within us, we can simply go to His Word and receive the Spirit of truth’s guidance to bring it alive as revelation and life. Deception moves us away from simplicity of devotion to Christ. Loving our fellow man is a good thing, but loving the Word is a God thing.

Once Jesus left the river, the battle was on! Still dripping with Jordan’s water from his baptism, he entered the wilderness. With the voice of his Father echoing in his mind, being led by the Holy Spirit that descended on him like a dove, facing an opponent with ancient skills at deception, Jesus found strength and wisdom from a single source...the word! We are still wet from being born of water and the spirit. Scripture, every word, must by faith be our strength, our wisdom. It is by the word that we receive a clearer realization of our earthly purpose. Our mental construct must be fashioned according to the blueprint of scripture. We must see the world as it is deceptively distracting. That is how the devil is trying to shape it. We are not discipled by social media, CNN, Fox News, cultural rituals, or lifelong friendships. The word of God, the bible, must be alive in us. It’s how we see the world. When the enemy offers options to us, our only consideration is the scripture forged in our mind. It is our unwavering standard. The truths of the bible must become as real to us as our own memories. Let us walk with Adam and Eve as they walk with God. Let us help Noah build a boat. Let’s climb the rocky cliffs of Moriah with Abraham and Isaac. Let’s cross the Red Sea with Moses and the Children of Israel. Let’s go with David to inquire of God in the temple. Let us sing with Paul and Silas. Let us wash the feet of Jesus with our salty tears. Let us be called up hither.

The distractions in the world get a hook in multitudes! The extra-dimensional adversaries know how to use those already in their power. The politicians, the actors, the worldly pastors

and preachers, the friends who expect loyalty. These will arrest your attention and lull you for the hit. Too many never will realize what happened until they wake up on the other side of death: what horror! Don’t be our own worst adversary. Do not suppress the pursuit of knowledge.  There is a fearsome thing written, that will apply to our days not very far off. There are so many souls who trust in their own wisdom. When we hear views on the things of God, and the things of eternity, we should pray for spiritual discernment. We should submit them for peer review to the wise of God’s people, to see if they are sound enough to withstand careful scrutiny and examination, by those whose judgment is informed by God’s word. Every diversion from truth will have lethal consequences, for they are distractions to prevent us from seeing what’s coming in reality. There will be a deluge of demonic masterpieces designed to draw souls away from those who are called according to God’s purpose. God’s word is so far-reaching in its consequences that we are able to study those who have gone through it all before. How the realm of distraction, by letting the mind do what it was made to do, proved to be that which made the truth more attainable. These made their relationship with Jesus their priority. In the bible we find different wiser and older friends and mentors. There are and will be many situations where we are to fully bear the weight of truth. In every relationship that God has us entering into, if there be any pain, and we do not set the pain and sorrow aside for a moment, we are actually being inauthentic or callous toward others and even ourself. The truth is that reality is a mix of both beauty and brokenness – both joy

and sorrow, pleasure and pain. Yet often we can find the sorrow and pain winning out…snuffing out our joy because we are distracted by self. The question may not be whether distraction is good or bad, but what kind of distraction are we involved in. Distractions can become an insight to our reality. Consider sharing what your internal experience is with someone other than your “friend” who use your vulnerability against you. Sometimes the way we’ve been wounded erode our ability to assess one person from another, and instead of engaging in the appropriate manner we simply choose one way of relating to everyone. God’s people are to have no assuming relationships.

The enemy’s deceptions distract us from living by God's true word, deflect us from walking in His revealed path, and dilute our effectiveness in His appointed work. The first weapon of deception is the suppression of truth. When individuals resist God's guidance and refuse to acknowledge truth, they become vulnerable to the deceptions of the enemy. Have you ever heard a statement and immediately questioned the nature of the statement to reason if there was in that statement truth itself? Being narrow-minded about a specific truth, risks disrupting faith that comes by hearing. It borders on being willingly ignorant. The enemy seeks to erode the certainty and absolute nature of truth by surrounding us with people who cater to our desires. This tactic leads people away from God's truth and leaves them susceptible to embracing subjective beliefs that distract them from the search. To counter deception, we must cultivate discernment through prayer, study of God's word, and reliance on the Holy Spirit. It is essential to align our minds and hearts with the absolute truth found in scripture and to be vigilant in detecting and rejecting distractions. Distraction, maybe even more than rebellion, is often what gets in the way of us living out our faith.

We are created with a natural disposition to know God. It’s embedded in our soul’s make up. It takes the drowning out of this inner knowledge to derail a person from the purity of knowing God, knowing our purpose, and knowing Him. As believers, we are battling demonic spiritual forces that have been specifically assigned to us. The strategies the enemy uses against us include deception, distraction, and suggestions that contradict God. Wrong thinking allows the enemy access into our lives; right-thinking reinforces our minds against lies and suggestions. It is not the quantity of time we spend studying the bible that matters…it is the quality of our study time. When we allow distractions to interfere in our

study time our thoughts become shallow. We ought to pray for discipline to think deeply, conquering the distractions in our lives so that we can live deeply.  We are to hold ourselves accountable to a higher measure. Every moment counted sacred. We are to learn of God by studying the word of God, and, on that basis, then to live for Him. Examine the scriptures daily, using the mind, to search the bible to ensure what we hear is truth. Don’t let your mind be distracted from truth by an assumption. Truth seekers break away from error by dividing issues into facts and interpretations. If you are honest and love the truth, search the scriptures. Truth is not based on what you’ve been taught. Truth is not a theory. Truth is based on consistent, coherent reality. Truth points to our salvation as being related to diligence, proving things, becoming wise, longsuffering, and rightly dividing the word. God left His word for those who love it to find it.

Deceptive and distraction are predicated upon man’s truth versus God’s truth. Man’s truth is subjective unless it is aligned with God’s truth. God’s truth is truth, no filtering, no opinions, no variation is possible. This does not mean we are not to prove God’s word. With sincere open-mindedness we will not find it to be error. Because of distractions, few in the world even get close to the truth. Would you believe that every religion offers distraction from the truth of God. We need to heed God’s admonition to circumspectly redeem the time and find balance in favor of the spiritual understanding given by God.

When the word of God becomes our reality, it is truth, and everything around us must be interpreted in its light. It constructs a moral framework by which we process information. It creates a value hierarchy that shapes what we see in the world and how we interpret it. Its objectives become our objectives. Its definitions become our definitions. Its truth becomes our truth. The bible is to be the lens by which everything in life is seen and evaluated. The conclusions we reach, the opinions we form, the identity we adopt, the advice we give, the posts we write, the conversations we have, the decisions we make, the friends we choose should all be formed by God’s word. The purpose assigned us of God will bring us into many spiritual battles. The war strategy of the enemy is to attempt to distract us from completing our earthly assignment. We are to let nothing distract us from God’s purpose. All the spiritual experiences in the world cannot sustain us in this kind of warfare. We must reason with every word of God, plainly, simply, to come to the revelation of the truth. Spend time now studying your bible.
